3rd Trimester is Great....

Recently I received a big reminder of how great it feels to be in the third trimester of pregnancy. The reminder came shooting down my lower right back and down my right leg and put me halfway to the ground! Fun Fun. I love my sciatic nerve. Jada just thought it would be fun to remind Mommy where that particular nerve sits by planting herself right on it!
Oh well...only a few months to go.

So-we think that Lydia still does not really know why Mommy's belly is getting so big. I do find her looking at it strangely at times and sometimes the look is followed by a poke to see if maybe this time it will pop...:) And sometimes she just thinks it's a big pillow she can just plop herself on. Yes-those days are fun...carrying the weight of a toddler and baby! We tell her all the time that there is a baby in mommy's belly and even point to it and tell her "Jada" is in mommy's belly. Not sure what all she comprehends at this time, but we just know that her world is about to be rocked in about 2.5 months! I'm in the process of getting her "big girl" room ready. Sometimes she wonders why some of her stuff is in her new room and why she still sleeps in her old room. I'm hoping to have her room complete by the end of February so we'll at least have her in it a few weeks before Jada arrives. That should be a fun transition! Especially since shortly after that I plan to pull out the "big girl" potty for her and begin to introduce that concept to her! Any advice from veteran potty trainers is always welcome!

fun times ahead! :) yay! i am so excited for you guys! as far as potty training goes, the only thing i can tell you (and it's from what i HEAR, since wyatt isn't yet, and rarely seems interested, so i've been asking the same questions!) is that it happens the fastest and with least set backs when the child is ready to do it, which is different for every child. the other is not to even try if a big change or adjustment to their life is going to happen. we are just hoping he is partially trained by the time he is 3!!!! all the way would be great, but we'll see. :)

yea-I'm along the same lines of thinking as you...she's def not even partially interested yet, but I'm thinking it may not hurt to just have a potty sitting around so she can get used to seeing it and then maybe one day it will click as to what it's there for... FUN STUFF AHEAD!

yep, that is what we did. that potty has been sitting in there for a L O N G time...he like to flush it, cause it makes a flushing noise, but the few times he's actually sat on it, he just sits there. we ask him if he went, he say "uh, yeah", but there is never anything there!! yeah...fun stuff!! ;)
